So I got a Dutch Warmblood!!

After 4 days full of pure anticipation, Sandy finally calls me on July 30th to break the news.... that she got Kimmy for me! Pineland agreed to sell her to Sandy! My heart was pounding so hard in my chest when I found out! I thought I was going to pass out! Also, we were going the next day to pick her up!

So Melissa, Sandy, and I went down on August 1st to pick her up! This whole day is definitely going to be in the top 10 of my life. I was running on pure adrenaline! I don't think the grin left my face the entire 24 hours! It was awesome that 3 amazing friends could be there as my first horse was loaded into the trailer!

Taking her outside after Sandy signed the papers! That's my horse! eeeee!

Look how tall she is!!!!

Pretty girl!!!!

Amy and Sandy loading her on! I was jumping up and down too much to handle it!

Trying her out!

So on July 28th Sandy and I went down to visit Amy and check out Kimmy in the process. We really didn't have any high expectations... mainly because I was looking for a free lease and we doubted Pineland would be able to offer that. But hey! I get to ride a HUGE warmblood and we got to see Amy! Plus Sandy hadn't been to Pineland before!

So we get there and Amy starts to tack her up. I am again stunned at how huge she is! I can't even see over her back! When shes done being tacked up, she looks like a horse I'd be riding at an IDA show, not trying out for my backyard riding horse, haha.

Amy gets on her and starts to warm her up... while Sandy and I have a seat and watch. Then before I know it it's my turn to get on! The last time I rode in a dressage saddle... was probably in January! After an awkward moment though we seem to click and have a great little ride! Her stride is huge! And she's so well behaved and good!

Haha I loved riding her, but again didn't have any high hopes. Too cool of a horse for what I was looking for....

Me and Emmy!

Cute face!

Kimberly...

The journey begins with Amy telling me about this 17.2 hand warmblood mare at Pineland... due to an injury last year they decided not to breed her and trained her under saddle....

So Sandy and I decided to check her out! :)
